Sabbaticals
The intention of a grant of a sabbatical leave is to allow the faculty member an opportunity to pursue a scholarly, artistic, educational, or professional project which cannot be undertaken in the normal course of a teaching assignment and faculty responsibility, and which measurably contributes to the individual's qualifications, quality of teaching and student benefit [sic], and is valuable to the College and its mission.

With financial and administrative support from the Offices of the Provost and the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Faculty Development Committee invites applications from Full-Time Faculty members (including Artists-in-Residence and One-Year Appointments) for grants of money to support their creative and scholarly endeavors.

The Baskin Fund
The Baskin Fund Award is available to full-time graduate faculty who wish to attend conferences, workshops, or lectures.  The maximum award amount is $500.

In accordance with its contract with P-Fac, Columbia College has set aside funds designated to support professional development of the part-time faculty. The Office of the Provost, in cooperation with the P-Fac leadership, invites applications from part-time faculty members for funds to support their creative and scholarly endeavors as well as participation in the professional life of their disciplines.
